about me

Malayna DiPlacido, a.k.a Mayday, is an illustrator and comic artist from Philadelphia, PA. She is currently a junior at Moore College of Art, pursuing a BFA in Illustration. In her free time, Malayna writes and illustrates short-form comics, and enjoys developing the characters featured. Her interests, such as mob movies, Philly sports, and Italian foods are recurring themes in her illustrations, both in class and personal.
Her work has been featured in the Philadelphia Sketch Club's Phillustration shows 14 & 15, as well as the Moore Magazine, Summer 2021 Edition.
